Metropolitan Seraphim of Piraeus of the Greek Orthodox Church believes that the de-Christianization of Europe will lead to the destruction of European civilization, reports the Greek resource “Vima Orthodoxias”.
The Greek Metropolis highlighted that "the de-Christianisation of Europe, like the apostasy of the Western world as a whole, is a dramatic, evolving reality that will also mean the end of European civilisation".
In addition, a statement of the Office of Heresies and Religions of the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus, signed by Metropolitan Seraphim of Piraeus, said that de-Christianisation would possibly lead "even the annihilation of European citizens, with the terrible colonization of the old continent by non-religious people, legal and illegal immigrants from Asia and Africa.".
The Metropolis stressed that "both the de-Christianisation of Europe and its colonisation are taking place according to a plan by the dark circles of the new world order in human society".
