Bishop Victor urges to double prayers for the UOC and its Primate

The Vicar of the Kyiv Metropolis, Bishop Victor (Kotsaba) of Baryshivka, recalled that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is going through difficult times and called to double prayers for the Church and His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry. Vladyka wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

According to the hierarch, believers know that no matter what happens, everything will be as the Lord wants, Who wants only good for us and for the Church. After all, Christ said: “I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).

“But this also means that believers must intensify their prayers for the Church and the people of God. The kind of world we will live in depends on our prayer, as well as on our personal piety,” Vladyka Victor recalled.

“I particularly want to exhort all believers to prayerfully support our Primate, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine. The Lord alone knows how hard it is for him now. On his shoulders lies the cross of responsibility for our Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the believing Ukrainian people. That is why these days our sincere common prayer will be heard for strengthening the spiritual forces of His Beatitude, the First Hierarch of the Ukrainian land!” the Bishop of Baryshivka said.

As the UOJ wrote, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry urged to seek the Truth in spiritual life instead of looking for easy paths.
