Dumenko is surprised by UOC priests who do not want to join OCU

Many UOC priests say they would rather go to secular work than move to the OCU by decision of the community, says Epifaniy Dumenko in an interview with life.nv.ua.

Epifaniy also noted that there is a big shortage of clerics in the structure, so it would be good for the OCU if all communities moved to the OCU with their rectors.

"Sometimes it surprising when a pastor who has dealt with the community for 20-30 years, when the community unanimously decides to transfer to the OCU and asks the priest to support their action, does not support this action and says that he would rather go to secular work than support their decision. This is surprising because a pastor cannot behave this way," Dumenko resumed.

Earlier, "hierarch" Nikodim Kulyhyn complained about a staff shortage in the OCU.
