Advisor to Ivano-Frankivsk mayor announces reward for UOC believers’ names

Myron Dmytryk, the advisor to the Ivano-Frankivsk mayor on corruption prevention and detection, announced on his Facebook page a reward of UAH 5 thousand for the list of parishioners of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, who voted for loyalty to the UOC.

"I announce a reward of 5 thousand hryvnias for copies of those lists (upd. + another 5 thousand from Artem Vakaluk). The community must know latent collaborators community in the face. And again ... Once again, I repeat: the activities of the FSB branch (Moscow Patriarchate) have nothing to do with the freedom of religion. Let alone the Church and faith," Dmytryk wrote.

"If there are still individuals who do not realise this in the 8th year of the war and the 124th day of the terrorist invasion – there is no place for them either in paradise or in the register of Ukrainian citizens. Because, as you know, slaves are not allowed into paradise. And the number of dickheads with the right to vote in elections should be reduced," he added.

On June 27, 2022, Ruslan Martsinkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk mayor, in a live broadcast on his official Facebook page, urged residents of the city to help the community of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ to physically move to the OCU.

This is not the first time the city's mayor has openly spoken about the community's "transfer" to the OCU, but for the first time he called for the use of physical force against the UOC Nativity community, the Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy said.

"We believe that calls of Ruslan and those who spread this information are unacceptable and dangerous and lead to the destabilization and division of society, especially under martial law," the eparchy stated.

The Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy called for an end to the persecution of Ukrainian citizens on the grounds of religion and stressed the importance of peaceful dialogue in resolving religious contradictions.

As earlier reported, the community of the Ivano-Frankivsk Cathedral appealed to the police because of the "transfer" to the OCU.
