Mukachevo Metropolitan hands over aid to AFU and children's boarding home

December 23, 2025, Metropolitan Theodore of Mukachevo and Uzhhorod delivered aid from the eparchy to representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the residents of Vynohradiv Orphanage No. 3. This was reported by the press service of the Mukachevo Eparchy of the UOC.
On the initiative of the rector of the Church of the Ascension of the Lord in the village of Kybliary, Archpriest Ioann Roman and parishioners, a generator and necessary equipment were delivered to the defenders of Ukraine.
The orphanage received 40 thousand hryvnias, toys, and food products. Donations for the children's boarding home were organized by the abbot of the St. John the Theologian Monastery in the village of Siltse, Archimandrite Luke (Tomyshynets) with the brethren, and the communities of the Churches of Prophet Elijah in Solomoniv, All Saints in Demychi, and Holy Trinity in Danylivka.
The Mukachevo-Uzhhorod Eparchy thanks the donors for participating in the charity events.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Sumy Eparchy donated more than a million hryvnias for children with cancer.
