In Transcarpathia, UOC holds charitable events to support orphaned children
On the eve of the Feast Day of Saint Nicholas, the clergy and believers of the Mukachevo and Khust eparchies visited children's social institutions with humanitarian aid.
In the Khust and Mukachevo eparchies of the UOC, charitable events were held on the eve of the Feast Day of Saint Nicholas to support children deprived of parental care, as reported by the Telegram channel «Church Helps».
On December 14, 2025, the vicar of the Khust Eparchy, Bishop Mark, together with the clergy and representatives of the public organization "Volunteers of Transcarpathia", visited the Center for Social Support of Children and Families "Home Warmth" of the Horinchevo village council, as well as the Vynohradiv children's home-internat. During the visits, children were given food and toys.
Bishop Mark communicated with the residents and staff of the institutions, expressed words of support, and personally handed gifts to the children.
On the initiative of the rector of the Peter and Paul Church in the town of Irshava, Archpriest Mykhailo Liakh, and with the participation of parishioners, aid was collected for the residents of the Vynohradiv children's home-internat.
The children were given food, warm clothes, essential items, and financial assistance.
As reported by the UOJ, the brethren of the UOC Dormition Monastery organized assistance for Odessa residents during the blackout.
