On January 29, 2026, TRC employees released Archpriest Maksym Moskalchuk, the rector of the UOC church in Redvyntsi who had been previously abducted in Khmelnytskyi, reports the Khmelnytskyi Eparchy.

"His release became possible thanks to the prayers of believers and public disclosure by concerned people. After illegal detention, Father Maksym is returning home to perform divine services at several parishes where he serves as rector," the eparchy reported and thanked everyone who helped in the priest's release.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that TRC employees abducted a UOC priest in Khmelnytskyi.
