Ex-MP: How can the leadership of OCU cover up the murderer of two people?
Former MP of the Verkhovna Rada Igor Mosiychuk on his Facebook page wonders how the leadership of the OCU and the Phanar can cover up the murderer of two people Alexander Efremenko.
Recall that the subdeacon of Exarch Phanar Mikhail (Anishchenko) and the clergyman of the St. Andrew's church in Kyiv, Alexander Efremenko, crashed a car into a roadblock, causing the death of at least two people. The tragedy occurred on May 25 on the Odessa highway in the Glevakha area, but it became known about it only now. More than 3 months have passed since the tragedy, but Efremenko has not been prosecuted yet.
“A completely unacceptable thing both for a minister of the Church and basically for any person! How can the leadership of the OCU or the Stauropegia of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, which was definitely informed about the accident, cover up the criminal – moreover, the actual murderer of two people!? Not to mention the selective response of the OCU hierarchy to the shameful deeds and actions of subordinate church ministers, which is injustice, regardless of the severity of the violations and their consequences...,” Mosiychuk wrote.
The ex-people's deputy suggested that the subdeacon escaped criminal liability thanks to connections in law enforcement agencies.
“Of course, we have a lot of questions for the hierarchs (OCU – Ed.). How come that the subdeacon escaped responsibility despite the use of prohibited substances or due to conscious neglect and violation of traffic rules, causing the death of two people? We are at a loss to now how this became possible ... Thanks to the work of the military clergy in the UOC-KP Synodal Department and their ties with law enforcement agencies? Or thanks to the intervention of the Efremenko’s current chief – perhaps even the Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch himself?” he added.
As the UOJ reported earlier, the Phanar cleric in Ukraine is accused of manslaughter.
