Baturyn Krupytsky Holy Nicholas Women's Monastery, village of Osych
On January 27, 2026, the head of the "Hetman Capital" reserve, with the participation of police officers, evicted the sisters of the Baturyn Krupytsky St. Nicholas Women's Monastery onto the street. A contract was concluded between the monastery and the reserve, the validity period of which is determined until January 27, 2026. However, for the period of martial law, according to Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 634, the user has the right to automatic extension of the contract.
The nuns have no other housing except the monastery cells in which they are officially registered. Nevertheless, they were put out on the street, and the doors of the church and residential building were sealed.
