Court releases Metropolitan Arseniy to house arrest

On February 25, 2026, the Chechelivskyi District Court of Dnipro ruled to change the preventive measure for Metropolitan Arseniy, abbot of the Sviatohirsk Lavra, from detention in custody to house arrest.

In total, the hierarch spent a year and ten months behind bars.

As a reminder, Metropolitan Arseniy was arrested and taken into custody on April 25, 2024.
