Cabinet extends Yelensky’s term as DESS head

Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers has published Order No. 254 reappointing Viktor Yelensky as head of the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience for another year.

“Reappoint Viktor Yevheniyovych Yelensky as Chair of the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience from March 27, 2026, for a term not exceeding 12 months from the date of termination or cancellation of martial law, but in any case no later than March 26, 2027, with remuneration in accordance with the law,” the order states.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that Yelensky had once again been appointed to the post of head of DESS.
