On April 3, 2026, a meeting of the OCU’s “Holy Synod” was held at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. Representatives of the structure headed by Epifaniy Dumenko organized their gathering in the residence of the Primate of the UOC, which was seized with state backing. This is the building the UOC constructed with its own resources and where the Holy Synod of the UOC had held its meetings for years.
Serhiy Dumenko sat in the place normally occupied by His Beatitude Onufriy.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the OCU held a religious event at the grave of the late Primate of the UOC at the Lavra.
