On April 6, 2026, Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting at the Presidential Office with rabbis from cities across Ukraine and representatives of Jewish communities on the occasion of Passover.
Zelensky congratulated those present on the holiday and wished them health and victory. According to Zelensky, Passover is “extremely important for Ukraine today,” because “freedom is important – the freedom we are fighting for as an entire nation."
"And we thank you for being part of this struggle, for supporting all our people and our entire state. Your support is very important,” he added.
The rabbis said they were proud to live in Ukraine and voiced confidence in a swift victory.
The rabbis also presented Zelensky with the first Ukrainian-language Torah.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Zelensky had congratulated Jews on the New Year.
