The Verkhovna Rada plans to consider a bill on decriminalizing pornography involving adults during the plenary week of May 25–29, 2026, reports the "European Truth".

The bill was registered by People's Deputy Yaroslav Zhelezniak. The document proposes to abolish criminal prosecution for voluntary creation and distribution of pornography between adults. Currently, such actions are qualified under Article 301 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and are punishable by imprisonment for up to 7 years. At the same time, the bill provides for tougher penalties for distributing pornography to minors and for coercing them to create it.

One of the reasons for promoting the bill was a special operation by law enforcement agencies that revealed a corruption scheme: police officers took bribes for "covering" porn studios, against which criminal cases were initiated precisely on the basis of Article 301 of the Criminal Code. According to the bill's authors, the state spent about 10 million hryvnias annually in 2022–2025 on investigating such cases.

As the UOJ reported, in the USA Christians achieved the closure of a photo exhibition with child pornography.
