Metropolitan Longin leads patronal feast at UOC monastery in Molnytsia

On June 6, 2026, the monastery in honor of Saint Blessed Xenia in the village of Molnytsia celebrated its patronal feast. The festive service was led by Metropolitan Longin of Bancheny, according to faithful of the UOC’s Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy on Facebook.

Concelebrating with Metropolitan Longin were Metropolitan Euseviy of Shepetivka and Slavuta, Archbishop Siluan of Hertsa, and Bishop Cleopa of Novoselytsia. Abbess Feodora and the sisters of the monastery were joined in the joy of the feast by clergy of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy and numerous faithful.

After the Gospel reading, Metropolitan Euseviy addressed those gathered with a sermon. The archpastor spoke about the spiritual feat of Saint Xenia and reminded the faithful of the importance of repentance for every Christian. He stressed that the path to holiness is open to all who sincerely seek God.

At the end of the service, Metropolitan Longin offered words of instruction and spiritual support. The hierarch thanked the pilgrims for their faithfulness to the Church and steadfastness in the faith.

As previously reported by the UOJ, hundreds of faithful venerated the wonderworking icon of the Mother of God at the Korets Monastery.
