The Embassy of Israel has lodged a protest over the use of Nazi gestures by members of the radical group "Brotherhood." In a statement issued by the diplomatic mission, it is noted that on June 21, 2026, during a rally at Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv, activists of "Brotherhood" shouted Nazi salutes and made the Nazi salute gesture.
The embassy emphasized that such actions desecrate the memory of millions of victims of Nazism, and called on law enforcement agencies to respond to the incident in accordance with the law.
This radical organization is directly involved in the persecution of the canonical Church. The leader of "Brotherhood," Dmytro Korchynskyi, publicly admitted the involvement of his subordinates in the seizure of UOC temples in Cherkasy and the village of Moshny. The radical openly stated that his organization "actively participates in transferring churches to the jurisdiction of the OCU," and criticized the structure of Epifaniy Dumenko for "weakness" in seizing church property.
Previously, activists of the same organization were involved in the seizure of St. John's Church (UOC) in the settlement of Bykivnia. Footage appeared online showing raiders cutting open the doors of the shrine with an angle grinder, after which OCU "hierarch" Serhiy Horobtsov entered the building.
As the UOJ reported, Israel called the head of the OUN a collaborator and condemned his burial in Ukraine.
