UOC congratulates its Primate on his name day in Feofania

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church has congratulated His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, on his name day. The celebrations took place at St. Panteleimon’s Convent in Feofaniia, the UOC Information and Education Department reports.
On the feast day of St. Onuphrius the Great, June 25, 2026, the Primate of the UOC led the Divine Liturgy in the monastery’s main cathedral. He was concelebrated by permanent members of the Holy Synod, hierarchs, and clergy.
Abbesses and sisters of monasteries, as well as numerous faithful, prayed at the service. The hymns were sung by the choir of the Kyiv Theological Academy. During the Liturgy, prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine, protection from the enemy, help for those in need, the release of prisoners, the healing of the sick, and support for people who have lost their homes.
After the dismissal, Many Years was proclaimed to His Beatitude. Metropolitan Sergiy of Ternopil and Kremenets delivered a congratulatory address on behalf of the Holy Synod, the episcopate, clergy, monastics, and all the faithful of the UOC.
He spoke of the Primate’s many years of service and his care for preserving canonical order and Church unity, stressing that His Beatitude Onuphry has guided the faithful from his youth to preserve the Orthodox faith. He also noted his contribution to the development of spiritual life, missionary, social, and youth ministry.
According to Metropolitan Sergiy, the Primate’s voice has always called people to faith, hope, repentance, and peace. In conclusion, he wished His Beatitude Onuphry good health and God’s help in his continued ministry.
The Primate thanked everyone for the greetings and addressed the faithful, recalling the spiritual feat of St. Onuphrius the Great and calling each person to inner prayer and repentance.
At the end of the service, the faithful congratulated His Beatitude on the feast day of his heavenly patron.
As the UOJ reported, the head of the Czech Church congratulated His Beatitude Onuphry on his name day.
