On June 30, 2026, the Chechеlivskyi District Court of Dnipro rejected the defense's complaint by Metropolitan Arseniy (Yakovenko) against the prosecutor's office ruling on changing the composition of the prosecutors, reports the press service of the Sviatohirsk Lavra.

Judge Tetiana Bezruk upheld the decision of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, despite the lawyers' arguments about violations of legislation in the appointment of the new group of prosecutors.

On that day, numerous believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church came to the courtroom to support the abbot of the Sviatohirsk Lavra.

Simultaneously with the court proceedings, the brotherhood of the Lavra and the sisters of the Lavra's sketes performed a communal prayer service with an akathist to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. At the conclusion of the hearing, the court scheduled the next session for August 5 at 1:00 p.m. At that hearing, the judges will consider whether to extend the preventive measure imposed on the the bishop.

As the UOJ reported, the court replaced Metropolitan Arseniy's round-the-clock house arrest with a nighttime one.
