Faithful and clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church made a prayerful pilgrimage to the Kalynivka Cross on the day of its annual commemoration, the Vinnytsia Eparchy press service reports.

The festive Divine Liturgy on July 8, 2026, at the great Podolia shrine was led by Metropolitan Agapit of Mohyliv-Podilskyi and Sharhorod, concelebrated by Metropolitan Varsonofiy of Vinnytsia and Bar.

Praying together with the hierarchs at the site of the miraculous manifestation of God’s grace were Archimandrite Enoch (Torak), secretary of the Vinnytsia Eparchy; Archimandrite Filaret (Olivinsky), secretary of the Eparchial Council; Archpriest Vasyl Rozman, dean of the Kalynivka district; as well as members of the eparchial council, local clergy and visiting priests.

During the service, the clergy offered special prayers for peace in Ukraine, for the Ukrainian people and its defenders. The pilgrims also asked the Lord for comfort and help for all those suffering because of the hostilities.

After the Liturgy, the archpastors, clergy and laity solemnly venerated the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord. Metropolitan Varsonofy thanked Vladyka Agapit and the faithful for standing together in prayer and congratulated those present on the feast. The hierarch wished that the grace-filled power of the shrine would strengthen every Christian in faith and grant spiritual joy and God’s blessing.

As the UOJ reported, UOC priests took part in celebrations at the Romanian monastery in Putna.
