In Zakarpattia, UOC believers walked in a procession to the Seraphim Monastery in Pryborzhavske. The prayer procession on the eve of the feast day of St, Seraphim of Sarov took place on July 31, 2026, with the blessing of Metropolitan Theodor of Mukachevo and Uzhhorod.
The pilgrimage began with a prayer service at the Holy Prophet Elijah Church in the town of Irshava, after which the clergy and numerous laypeople set out toward the monastery. Along the way, the participants made stops for communal prayer at the Dubrivka Monastery of St. John the Baptist, at the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul Church in the village of Bilky, and at the Holy Protection Church in the village of Pryborzhavske.
Throughout the entire route, the pilgrims offered fervent petitions for peace in Ukraine, Ukrainian soldiers, and assistance to all those affected by the hostilities. The procession concluded at the St. Seraphim Monastery with a festive All-Night Vigil on the eve of the patronal feast.
As the UOJ reported, the UOC faithful began a religious procession from Kovel to the Pochaiv Lavra.
