Vasyl Kuziovych, the son of the dean of the Sosnytsia District of the UOC's Chernihiv Eparchy, was killed on the front line. The news was announced by the Chernihiv Eparchy.
The tragedy occurred on August 1, 2026. His father, Archpriest Ioann Kuziovych, serves as rector of the Intercession Church and heads the Sosnytsia Deanery. The hierarchs and clergy of the Chernihiv Eparchy expressed their heartfelt condolences to Fr. Ioann and Matushka Maria Kuziovych over their profound loss.
The eparchy also called on Orthodox Christians to offer fervent prayers for the repose of the newly departed warrior Vasyl. Clergy and faithful prayed that the Lord would grant rest to His servant in His heavenly dwellings and vouchsafe him the Kingdom of Heaven.
As the UOJ previously reported, the son of a priest from the UOC's Rivne Eparchy was also killed on the front line.
