An exhibition of works by the icon-painting school of the Kharkiv Theological Seminary has opened in Kharkiv. On August 9, 2026, the organizers presented a festive exposition at the Spiritual and Educational Center "Foma," dedicated to two important anniversaries of the eparchy, reports the UOC Information Center.
The organizers dedicated the exhibition to the 15th anniversary of the blessed repose of Metropolitan Nikodim (Rusnak) of Kharkiv and Bohodukhiv, and to the 30th anniversary of the reorganization of the Kharkiv Theological School into a theological seminary. During the opening ceremony, Metropolitan Onuphry, rector of the Kharkiv Theological Seminary, addressed the gathered guests with a welcoming speech.
The exposition brings together the finest icon-painting works of the school's teachers and students, reflecting the ancient traditions of Orthodox iconography and the entire educational process.
After the official opening, the organizers gave guests a detailed tour. Visitors viewed the works on display and learned about the complex technical aspects of their creation.
The exhibition will run through September 10, 2026. Visitors are welcome every Tuesday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.; visits at other times can be arranged by appointment.
As the UOJ previously reported, the Odesa Seminary displayed iconography graduation works.
