The proceedings will take place at the court premises located at 8 Kniaziv Ostrozskykh Street. The UOC lawyers are asking the faithful for prayers and support on this difficult day.

The legal dispute over the liquidation of the Kyiv Metropolis of the UOC has been ongoing since September 2025. Previously, the Cassation Administrative Court, on May 19, 2026, fully granted the Metropolis's appeal within the proceedings. The judges overturned the decision to separate the claims of the counterclaim, which had previously been contested by representatives of the Church. Prior to that, the appellate court had declared the SSENAFC expert examination to have no legal force due to numerous deficiencies.

As the UOJ reported, the Kyiv Metropolis is seeking a court-ordered dissolution of DESS.
