Archbishop Sergiy of Bolhrad performed the rite of consecration of the UOC Church of the “Unburnt Bush” Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Dunaiske, Izmail District, Odesa Region, the Odesa Eparchy reports.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Agafangel of Odesa and Izmail, the hierarch led the consecration of the newly built church. The event became an important and joyful occasion for the clergy and faithful of the Izmail District, who gathered for common prayer.

Those attending the celebration expressed hope that the new church would become a place of sincere prayer, spiritual support and unity under the protection of the Most Holy Theotokos.

As the UOJ reported, Metropolitan Nikodim of Zhytomyr consecrated a new UOC church in the village of Datsky.
