In the village of Seliatyn, within the UOC's Putyla Deanery, Fr. Stefan Struzh, a cleric of St. Elijah Church in the village of Shepit, consecrated a new chapel dedicated to the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos. The faithful of the UOC's Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy reported this on Facebook.
The chapel was built by a local family of believers as an expression of gratitude to the Mother of God for Her prayerful help, protection, and intercession on behalf of their relatives.
The faithful expressed hope that the new chapel would become a place of regular prayer, spiritual comfort, and heartfelt gratitude to God for the villagers, and that the Most Holy Theotokos would always shelter under Her protecting veil all who turn to the Heavenly Intercessor in faith.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that a UOC chapel in honor of the Mother of God was consecrated in the village of Shcherbany in the Mykolaiv region.
