When you keep forgetting that you're not a politician

Epifaniy Dumenko appealed to Georgians to “protect their future as a free European nation”.
Seemingly neutral and innocuous words, but in a situation when in Tbilisi there is a violent confrontation between the authorities and activists positioning themselves as “pro-Europeans”, Dumenko's words look like an obvious appeal to support one of the sides, to support the “Georgian Maidan”.
Interestingly, these words are in sharp contrast to the statement of the Georgian Church, which not only did not support any of the parties to the conflict, but called for peace and mutual understanding in the name of Christian love. And here it is hard not to notice that the appeal of the Georgian Patriarchate is a unifying position of the Church, while the words of Dumenko are not those of a bishop but of a politician, as they are aimed only at strengthening divisions.
Moreover, the words of a foreign politician.
