St Michael's Cathedral bells to play "Chervona Kalyna"
The OCU says that by singing the famous song from the bell tower, they are responding to a volunteer initiative.
The Orthodox Church of Ukraine said that the hymn of the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen, "Chervona Kalyna" (“The Red Guelder-Rose”), will now be sung daily from the main bell tower of St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral, reports the Interfax news agency.
Thus, the OCU noted, they responded to the initiative of the volunteers, who were awarded in the temple to this song.
It is noted that "Chervona Kalyna" was first played in the monastery immediately after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
As reported, in the OCU temple actors performed the "Christmas" song "Chervona Kalyna" to the drum.
