Missile debris damaged a residential building at the UOC's Iveron Monastery, leaving several people injured.

On March 21, 2023, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church's Iveron Monastery in Odesa was damaged in a missile strike that injured several people, Archbishop Diodor, the monastery's abbot, said in a statement published by the Odesa Eparchy's press service.

According to the hierarch, three people sustained minor injuries, while another suffered moderate injuries.

Video footage shows that the blast wave shattered windows and blew out doors at the monastery chapel, knocking over oil lamps beside the icons. The icons themselves, including an icon of the Mother of God, remained undamaged, the archbishop said.

As the UOJ previously reported, shelling destroyed a monastery near Volnovakha founded by Elder Zosima.
