The Lviv Regional Council believes that the absolute majority of the Verkhovna Rada wants to vote in favor of the anti-church bill.

Lviv Regional State Council sent a letter to the Verkhovna Rada with a demand not to interfere with the will of the parliamentarians, who, according to local deputies, in the absolute majority are ready to support bill 8371, which actually bans the UOC, reports 'Espreso'.

"There are no justified moments to further delay the vote of this fateful bill, which deals with national security issues. This bill does not threaten any of the Ukrainian religious communities, except for those that remain part of the Moscow church," the Lviv RSA deputies said in a statement.

As reported by the UOJ, Poroshenko's confidants have sent letters to his party members so that they demand banning the UOC.
