Zakarpattia marks feast of uncovering of Venerable Job of Uglia's relics

The venerable saint was glorified in 2008.

On October 21–22, festive services were held in the village of Mala Uhоlka in Zakarpattia to mark the uncovering of the relics of Venerable Job of Uglia, the press service of the UOC’s Khust Eparchy reports.

On the eve of the feast of Venerable Job of Uglia, Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vynohradiv led the all-night vigil at the church dedicated to Venerable Job of Uglia in the village of Mala Uholka.

On October 22, Metropolitan Mark presided over the Divine Liturgy. Concelebrating with him were Archbishop Simeon of Uglia, vicar of the Khust Eparchy; Bishop Veniamin of Skadovsk, vicar of the Kherson Eparchy; and clergy of the eparchy.

During the Liturgy, a special prayer was offered for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and for peace in our land.

Venerable Job of Uglia, an outstanding ascetic of the twentieth century, was born in 1902 in the village of Iza in Zakarpattia. For his pious life, he received from God the gift of clairvoyance and of healing the sick through prayer. In 2008, he was glorified among the saints.

As previously reported, a cross procession with the relics of Venerable Alexiy of Carpatho-Rus was held in Iza.
