Mufti of Crimean Muslims agrees to help Russia in the war against Ukraine

Humanitarian aid for Russian soldiers and their families is envisaged.
The Mufti of Crimean Muslims, Emirali Ablayev, signed an agreement with Evgeny Pichugin, the head of the "Team of Opportunities" organization and a representative of the occupation authorities of Crimea, Russian media reports.
The document provides for cooperation in supporting Russian soldiers and their families who are involved in combat operations against Ukraine. The occupied Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea and Sevastopol, led by Ablayev, will continue to send humanitarian aid to Russian soldiers on the front line and support their families.
Ablayev emphasized that “our soldiers,” as he refers to the Russian military personnel, should feel care and support just as they, in his words, “protect” Crimea.
As reported by the UOJ, the Mufti of Muslims of Crimea was sentenced in absentia to 12 years in prison.
