Fico: The Constitution of Slovakia will enshrine only two genders
"Slovakia recognises only two genders – male and female," said the country's Prime Minister.
The Slovak government will soon present constitutional initiatives. During his speech in the National Council, Prime Minister Robert Fico stated that the Constitution of the Slovak Republic should enshrine the existence of only two genders, reports kosiceonline.
"We must enshrine in the Constitution that Slovakia recognises only two genders – male and female," explained the Prime Minister.
According to him, the Constitution should also establish the form of the state educational programme.
"The state education programme must align with the principles and values of the Constitution. Anything that goes beyond these boundaries must be agreed upon with parents," Fico stated.
The third issue to be regulated by the Constitution will be child adoption. The Prime Minister noted that he plans to incorporate provisions from the current Family Law into it.
As previously reported, the United States suspends processing passport applications with an X-gender marker.
