The new European organization Union of Orthodox Journalists has opened a branch in Albania.

On January 30, 2025, the European organization Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ) opened its representative office in Tirana.

The country already has active UOJ in Albania pages on Facebook and Viber. The organization has submitted documents for domain registration, and a new UOJ website in the Albanian language will be launched soon.

UOJ correspondents will cover the life of Orthodox communities in Tirana and other locations. Analytical materials, articles, and interviews will provide prompt and objective reports on all important events for the local Orthodox community.

The first informational content was a text and video live broadcast of the funeral of the late Primate of the Albanian Orthodox Church, Archbishop Anastasios.

The opening of the Albania branch – following those in Germany and Greece – is part of our strategy to support canonical Orthodoxy on an international scale and unite Orthodox believers from different countries. The Union of Orthodox Journalists is a unique media project aimed at bringing Orthodox believers together worldwide and defending traditional Christian values.

As a reminder, on November 21, 2024, UOJ registered a new legal entity in Europe and opened branches in Greece and Germany. More representative offices in other European countries are anticipated.
