A resident of Hradyzhsk apologized for his social media post directed against the UOC.

An OCU supporter, Volodymyr Fedorov, a resident of Hradyzhsk in the Poltava region, accused local authorities in a comment on a Facebook group of allegedly “covering up” the UOC parish, which he claimed creates “competition” for the OCU, whose church in the town is rarely attended. This was reported by the Dilova Stolytsia website.

“I visited the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, where Priest Ioann led the first prayer for our soldiers and for Ukraine in the new church, which is still under construction. This is the first OCU church in the Hradyzhsk community. Unfortunately, there are few visitors so far. There are competitors from the UOC MP, and they are being covered by the head of the Hradyzhsk community, M.Yu. Nosa. His father serves in one of the churches in Hradyzhsk (a family business), and his brother is a clergyman of the Rostov MP,” he wrote.

According to the decision of the Hlobyno District Court, the local resident was required to retract this comment and publish a post with an apology.

As the UOJ previously reported, a court in Kremenchuk denied the OCU’s claims to the UOC’s Holy Trinity Church.
