Melania Trump announces the return of Easter celebrations at White House

Last year, the Biden administration faced criticism for declaring Easter Sunday as Transgender Day.
On March 2, 2025, Melania Trump announced that the first White House Easter Egg Roll of President Trump’s second term is scheduled for April 21, reports the Christian Post.
The First Lady of the United States will host the event on the South Lawn of the White House. Melania Trump previously hosted the Easter feast during President Trump’s first term.
The festivities will include live entertainment, storytelling, arts and crafts, appearances by costumed characters, the famous Easter Egg Roll and Hunt and discussions on the history of the feast.
Last year, Biden said in his proclamation: "On Transgender Day of Visibility, we honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation's commitment to forming a more perfect Union—where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives."
Biden’s decision to push transgenderism on the holiest day on the Christian calendar was rebuked by Christian leaders and conservative politicians who called it offensive to Christians.
The Biden administration defended the proclamation, arguing that Easter and Transgender Day were not meant to be in conflict.
Previously, the UOJ reported that Zelensky presented Trump with Usyk’s championship belt.
