"Diya" launches "eHemp" electronic system

The new service is expected to promote industry development.
Starting March 10, 2025, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food is launching the electronic system "eHemp" (єКонопля), according to the official website of the ministry.
"The main goal of the system is to improve state agricultural policy, restore Ukraine’s leadership in the cultivation of industrial hemp, and reduce potential corruption risks and abuses," the ministry stated.
Previously, obtaining a license for industrial hemp production could take up to three months. Now, it is sufficient to register in the Registry of Legal Entities Engaged in the Sowing, Cultivation, and Processing of Hemp for Industrial Purposes, eliminating the need for licenses and quotas.
To register in the Registry, applicants need to prepare a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) and submit an application through the electronic cabinet of the "eHemp" system, which is integrated with all necessary state registries.
As previously reported by the UOJ, Ukrainian pharmacies began selling cannabis-based medications in 2025.
