A miraculous icon of the Theotokos from the Romanian Krasna Monastery arrived at the church.

On March 16, 2025, the second Sunday of Great Lent, when the Synaxis of All Venerable Fathers of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is celebrated, hundreds of parishioners of the UOC community in Brussels gathered to celebrate their patronal feast in honor of the All Venerable Fathers of the Kyiv Caves.

Parishioner Ninelle Vorsina shared photos and videos of the Liturgy on Facebook, writing: “It feels as if I am home in the Lavra, among the venerable fathers.”

On the eve of the celebration, a miraculous icon of the Theotokos from the Romanian Krasna Monastery arrived at the UOC church. The icon is renowned for numerous healings, particularly of eye diseases and infertility. Believers who come to the image of the Mother of God with sincere prayer have reported assistance in difficult life situations, protection from calamities, and healing from various ailments.

The community’s rector, Archpriest Dimitrie Popescu, described the arrival of the icon in Brussels as a great miracle. Before the icon, parishioners of the church prayed for peace in Ukraine.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the head of the UGCC, Sviatoslav Shevchuk, called on Ukrainian authorities to take action against UOC communities abroad.
