Spokesperson of OCU participates in a Uniate service in Poland
Zoria, together with UGCC bishops, held a memorial service.
“Metropolitan” of the OCU Yevstratiy Zoria, together with Archbishop of the UGCC of Przemyśl-Warsaw Yevhen Popovych, as well as clergy from his structure, participated in a panikhida of the UGCC in the Polish village of Mlyny, as reported on Facebook by the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland. The event took place on the occasion of the 155th anniversary of the death of the Uniate priest and composer of the Ukrainian national anthem Mykhailo Barvinsky.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Polish Church appealed to the Ecumenical Patriarchate regarding the intrusion of the OCU into its canonical territory.
