UOC church completely destroyed by shelling in Pokrovsk
All that remains of the church is ashes.
On March 29, 2025, at approximately 3:30 PM, the Church of St. John Chrysostom of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, was completely destroyed. This was reported by the press service of the Pokrovsk Vicariate.
“All that remains of the church is ashes. Nothing survived – not even the fireproof safe containing the antimins and sacred vessels, which was torn to shreds,” the statement said.
As previously reported by the UOJ, on March 25, the UOC’s Church of St. Nicholas in Pokrovsk was once again shelled.
