UOC church in Myrnohrad heavily damaged by Russian shelling
The interior of the church was completely burned out.
On June 11, 2025, Russian forces shelled the St. Panteleimon Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the city of Myrnohrad, Donetsk region. The incident was reported via the Telegram channel of the Pokrovsk Vicariate.
“As a result of two direct hits, the church suffered significant damage – the interior was completely destroyed by fire,” the message stated.
In April, the UOJ reported that another UOC church in Myrnohrad – dedicated to St. Demetrius of Rostov – had also been damaged by shelling.
