At Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, celebrations to commemorate St. Theodosius begin
The Church commemorates St. Theodosius as one of the first abbots of the monastery and a great ascetic of prayer and humility.
On August 26, 2025, on the eve of the commemoration day of the tranfer of the relics of Venerable Theodosius, Abbot of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, an all-night vigil was held at the monastery. This was reported by the Lavra's press service.
The service at the St. Agapitus Church was led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine.
The Primate was concelebrated by UOC hierarchs and the brethren of the monastery in holy orders.
As reported by the UOJ, earlier in his sermon, His Beatitude called on the faithful to forgive for the sake of receiving God's mercy.
