Khmelnytskyi RMA reports number of churches "joining" OCU since war began
The statistics of "transitions" by year show a surprising imbalance.
The Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, in response to a request from «Ukrinform», reported that since the beginning of the Russian invasion and up to September 1, 2025, 308 communities have "transferred" to the OCU.
According to officials, from 24.02.24 to 31.12.25, 295 communities "joined" the OCU, and from 1.01.25 to 1.09.25 – only 13. The RMA did not explain the reason for such a striking disproportion.
As reported, at the beginning of 2023, a wave of illegal re-registrations and violent seizures of UOC churches swept through the Khmelnytskyi region, involving representatives of the local administration.
