Kremlin spokesman: Pontiff's visit to Moscow is not being discussed for now
Dmitry Peskov said a meeting between the Russian President and the Pope requires preparation, which the Kremlin is not discussing.
The possible visit of the Pope to Russia and his meeting with Vladimir Putin is not being discussed at the moment. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this when asked by journalists about Putin's willingness to meet with the pontiff, reports Interfax.
"Such a visit at the highest level should be discussed, it should be prepared, but as far as I know, at the moment there are no substantive contacts on this matter," Peskov said.
As reported, the Pope said that he plans to visit Moscow and Kyiv in the near future, after his trip to Canada.
