The meeting of the Patriarchs took place on the sidelines of the international conference “Aqaba Process – Interreligious Dialogue in the Balkans.”

On December 10, 2025, an important meeting of the Primates of the Churches of Jerusalem, Antioch, and Serbia was held at the Holy Metropolis in Amman, Jordan.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the international conference “Aqaba Process – Interreligious Dialogue in the Balkans,” which is being held in Bethany, at the site of Christ’s Baptism on the Jordan River.

Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem, in the presence of Prince Ghazi, received Patriarch John X of Antioch and Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia at the residence of the Kyriakoupolis Metropolis.

The Primates, accompanied by delegations of other Orthodox Churches, paid an official visit to the Cathedral of the Presentation of the Lord and to the chapel of St. Nektarios, where they lit candles and offered prayers.

The procession was accompanied by an honor guard of scouts from the Cathedral of the Presentation of the Lord.

The meeting concluded with an official dinner in honor of the distinguished guests in the hall of the Holy Metropolis.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that in Bethany, Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia delivered an address on peace and the role of religions in strengthening harmony.
