Two UOC churches damaged by shelling in Kherson
The St. Catherine Cathedral and the Greek-Sophia Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos have been damaged.
On the night of December 22 to 23, 2025, as a result of the shelling of Kherson, the St. Catherine Cathedral and the Greek-Sophia Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos were damaged. This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Eparchy.
The central dome of the cathedral was damaged, and the facade, foundation, and utility rooms of the second church were destroyed.
As reported by the UOJ, in Kherson, a UOC church came under fire during the Liturgy.
