Kasperovska UOC parish in Kherson comes under fire for fifth time
Outbuildings on the church grounds were damaged.
On January 3, 2026, shelling once again damaged the UOC parish dedicated to the “Kasperovska” Icon of the Mother of God in Kherson. This was reported by the rector of the church, Archpriest Ioan Hordiienko, on his Facebook page.
According to Fr. Ioan’s count, this is already the fifth time the church has come under fire.
Once again, the church’s хозяйственные постройки were damaged, and virtually all windows in the buildings were blown out. Only the walls remained intact.
“There are no emotions left… The tears were cried out earlier,” the priest wrote.
According to the rector, there were no casualties among people.
As the UOJ reported, two UOC churches in Kherson were damaged by shelling.
