Lavra abbot concelebrates with His Beatitude in Boryspil after long break

On the Sunday after the Nativity of Christ, Metropolitan Pavel concelebrated with the Primate of the UOC at the Boryspil Cathedral.

On January 11, 2026, on the Sunday after the Nativity of Christ, when the Church celebrates the memory of the Righteous Joseph the Betrothed, King David, and the holy Apostle James, the brother of the Lord, the abbot of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshhorod and Chornobyl concelebrated with His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine during the Divine Liturgy at the Intercession Cathedral of Boryspil.

Also concelebrating with the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church were teh UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Antony of Boryspil and Brovary; Metropolitan Joasaph of Vasylkiv; Archbishop Ambrose of Zghurivka; Archbishop Lavr of Irpin; Archbishop Mark of Borodianka; Bishop Philaret of Baryshivka; as well as the clergy of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and numerous clerics of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

During the Little Entrance, the clergy of the Boryspil Eparchy were awarded high liturgical honors.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the Chancellor and the abbot of the Lavra performed the Liturgy at St. Barbara's Church in Kyiv.
