UOC gives Christmas gifts to patients and staff of Okhmatdyt
During the Nativity celebrations at the specialized children’s hospital Okhmatdyt, holiday gift sets from the UOC were presented to young patients and medical workers.
On January 14, 2026, in Kyiv, the Social Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church delivered Christmas gifts to patients and medical staff of the National Specialized Children’s Hospital Okhmatdyt, the Telegram channel of the UOC Synodal Department for Social and Humanitarian Affairs reports.
The charitable initiative took place with the blessing and support of the Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy. The Christmas gifts were presented to children and doctors by the deputy head of the UOC Social Department, Archpriest Kostiantyn Dvorovyi, and the head of the Department of Social Ministry and Charity of the Kyiv Eparchy, Archpriest Andrii Dvorovyi.
The clergy congratulated the young patients, their parents, and the medical staff on the Christmas season, wishing them God’s help, strength of soul and body, and a speedy recovery for the children.
The visit took place in a warm and joyful atmosphere: Christmas carols were sung, prayers were offered, and there was heartfelt conversation with the children and their families, filling the hospital walls with the spirit of the feast and hope.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the UOC Social Department delivered Christmas gifts to displaced persons and children with disabilities.
