Unknown individuals posing as electricians installed a camera opposite the entrance to an Orthodox gymnasium. After the police were called, the device disappeared.

In the area in front of a UOC Orthodox gymnasium in the village of Chorniavka, Cherkasy Region – where unknown persons had installed a concealed surveillance device – the camera disappeared on January 15, 2026. This was reported by the gymnasium’s owner, Kateryna Dehtiarenko, who called the police, according to the Dozor Telegram channel.

The educator told law enforcement that the day before, a car appeared near the gymnasium with masked individuals, allegedly connected to the security service. That same day, several people dressed as electricians installed a box on a pole near the building. Later, a miniature camera was found inside, with its lens aimed directly at the entrance to the school building.

After the police were called and a report was filed, the camera disappeared, and tire tracks and footprints remained in the snow.

As the UOJ reported, authorities had set up surveillance of an Orthodox educational institution near Cherkasy.
