The church of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Zarichne was completely destroyed by fire.

The Dnipropetrovsk Eparchy of the UOC reported a fire at the Church of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov, which occurred on the night of January 23–24, 2026, in the village of Zarichne (Hvardiiske), Samarskyi District. The eparchial press service reported this.

According to the church rector, Priest Heorhiy Demchenko, the fire began late in the evening – at around 23:50.

By the time rescuers arrived, the flames had already engulfed the building, and it was not possible to save any property: the church and all its interior furnishings burned down completely.

The rector and parishioners asked the faithful for prayerful support and financial assistance. Details: 5168 7456 3377 5504 (Demchenko Yuriy Mykolaiovych).

As the UOJ reported, a 17th-century wooden UOC church burned down in the village of Ivashkovytsia in Zakarpattia.
